bad dreams

So the other night I woke up with a start after having a horribly weird dream.

I dreamt that I was sitting up in bed beside R and I had a big pregnant belly. I dreamt that I was feeling the baby push at my stomach with its foot and then I felt the baby's hand pushing on the other side of my stomach. I put my hand over the baby's hand and I realized that the baby was waving at me! What the hell??! I woke up and just thought... that was SO weird... and I have NO idea what that's supposed to mean! WEIRD!

Seriously... I can't even get away from the "baby bumps" while I'm sleeping! Geez!

A little late! ICLW

So I was crazy busy this weekend and didn't get to post anything until today about this month's ICLW! If you're new to my blog there is a quick history on my sidebar that you can check out!

So... as for this weekend. I went to see Dane Cook on Thursday night in Winnipeg at the MTS Centre. He is... AWESOME! SOOOOOO funny. I would definitely go see him again!!

Friday I went and tried on the bridesmaid dress for my cousin's wedding and they need to take it in a LOT. Seriously? Why do they order those dresses SO big?? It is going to be a gorgeous dress though. I'm very excited to wear it when it actually fits!

Here's a pic of the dress in the same colour I'll be wearing it. It's very cute and is definitely going to be comfortable.

So in the afternoon on Friday after the dress shop me and my mom went to see the movie New Moon. We went to the noon show because I didn't want to fight for a seat in the evening and I was hoping that it wouldn't be too busy. To my surprise, there were a LOT of teenie-boppers skipping school to go see the show. Sheesh! So, before the show starts we're sitting in our seats and the lights go down signalling the beginning of the show. Of course, someone has to come down our row with the lights dimmed with their super-extra-gigantor drink of Coke and super-extra-gigantor bag of popcorn and has to get by us when all of a sudden the lady DROPS her Coke RIGHT onto my feet. I got a leg bath of Coke! My legs, shoes, and purse were SOAKED with it! So for the whole movie I had to hold my dripping purse off the floor and away from anything else and sit through the movie with sticky legs and shoes... WONDERFUL!

Other than that.. the movie was pretty good. If you've read the books, it follows the second book fairly well. I thought the last book was the best though so I can't wait to see that movie!

Saturday I got together for breakfast with some old work friends that I haven't seen in a long time and we sat and talked for about two hours in the restaurant. I'm sure they were wanting us to leave!! Ooops!! Anyway... I had a good visit and it was good to see the girls again.

So... on the baby-bump front... I've had my third sighting. I was looking at some pictures a friend posted on Facebook and the inevitable side profile came up and I realized... Ohh... ding ding DING, we've got a #3 ladies! At least this friend isn't posting semi-weekly bump picture updates and I didn't even know she was preggers until I came across the picture. She does look cute... I just wish it was me... but don't all of us IF'ers!

*sigh*

And Then There Were Two

So, following my last post... I was working in the yard yesterday since it was such a nice day out. I was trying to clean up all the leaves that the million-and-one trees on my block decided to dump all in OUR yard. Anyway, I got lots of leaves removed from the front yard but didn't get finished. I came inside for a break when I noticed that there was a message on the answering machine. I pressed "play" and it was a call from one of R's friends that got married not too long ago. "Hey R and Alison, we've got some exciting news to share with you guys. We're expecting a little one in June. " The first thing I thought was... "that's just fucking great..."

I immediately called R.

Me: Hey, did J call you on your cell? Cause he just left a message on our machine.
R: No. What did he want?
Me: Well... M is pregnant... due in June.
R: Oh. Are you okay?
Me: I dunno...

I decided to go for a drive. It may not have been the best idea since I was crying on and off. I drove around the country roads and stopped every once in a while and took some pictures to get my mind off of all the baby bellies that are soon to be plaguing me. I know I have to get used to the fact that this may never happen for me. I need to stop letting myself get so upset about mys own situation whenever I hear about someone getting pregnant. This is the hardest thing I've ever had to face. It's just. So. Hard.

Well here's some pictures I took on my little trip. Pictures are always fun. ;)
